电站锅炉炉顶吊挂装置的作用是将锅炉顶部受压元件吊挂于钢结构上的连接装置。例如过热器、再热器、省煤器、水冷壁、包墙、以及锅炉顶部各部分连接管等,锅炉的绝大部分荷载都是通过此装置吊挂于炉顶钢结构上。因此,此部件对锅炉安全运行至关重要。
锅炉吊杆两端的主要形式为螺纹和单、双焊接耳板，通过螺纹或销轴孔配合的方式连接。
